Casa Loren, a very comfortable three bedroom accommodation, sits on one of the many sloping terraces typical of the Amalfi coast. It is located in a tranquil setting in the heart of Praiano, an ancient fishermen’s village situated halfway between Amalfi and Positano and consists of a cluster of small white-washed houses topped with typical domes, clinging to the rocky cliffs, sheer above the sea. The apartment covers the entire top floor of a two-storey building. You will easily reach it from the road by walking for 50 meters along a typical narrow alley and by descending a stairway of 25 steps that lead to a large paved patio situated at the back of the house. It is decorated with terracotta pots and furnished with an outdoor shower, barbecue, marble topped dining table with wrought iron chairs, sun chairs and umbrella. The accommodation can be entered from the kitchen and from the dining/sitting room. The interiors are furnished in a simple but pleasant and comfortable way. Accommodation A French window leads you from the patio into a spacious open-plan living/ dining room with 3 comfortable modern sofas, wooden dining table for 6, TV, a further sitting area with two armchairs and French windows which open out to the front terrace offering a panoramic view of the sea. A hallway with in-built wardrobes gives way to the three bedrooms, two of them with double bed and a third one with two single beds (which can become a queen-size bed upon request) is located by a small bathroom with open shower, WC etc. Each bedroom has French doors onto its private south-facing balcony with splendid and extensive sea views. A large bathroom with bath tub, a separate enclosed shower, two washbasins, WC etc. is situated off the corridor. The kitchen is furnished with a table with four chairs, several cabinets, a four burner cooker with an electric burner and oven, a refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher . It has windows and French doors opening onto the patio as well. Next to the kitchen is located a store room with washing machine, a further refrigerator with freezer and a third bathroom with enclosed shower, WC, etc. and door to the patio. Services: English speaking manager on call. Maid service 4 hours mid week with change of linen on Saturdays. Food delivery service, private chef, baby sitter, cot and high chair available at additional cost. Facilities: 2 fridge/freezers, four-burner cooker, electric oven, microwave oven, TV ( Italian channels only), standard VCR, CD player, charcoal barbecue, dishwasher, washing machine, ironing facilities and hairdryers. Parking facilities can be arranged in advance at extra cost at a nearby private garage located at about 700/800 meters up the hill. Access: From the internal road you walk for 50 meters along a typical alley and by descending a stairway of 25 steps. Distances: At close distance ( 50 meters ) you can take the shuttle bus which connects Praiano to Positano ( 7 km) and with the small sandy beach called “La Praia” which is locally renowned for its excellent fish restaurants. This service operates from April end of October. Cafes and restaurants are starting at about 1.5 kms along the main coastal road. About 150 meters up the hill are the nearest grocery shops while a short walk down ( 400 meters) the hill brings guests to the bus stop for the long distance buses ( SITA BUS) to reach Amalfi (12 Km), Positano (9 Km) and Sorrento (18 km ). In season (April – October), boats and hydrofoils ferry between Salerno, Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento, the islands of Capri and Ischia and the city of Naples, all easily reached for pleasant days out.
