Originally the summer residence of aristocratic nobility from Ragusa, today this enchanting ancient villa is ideal for those wishing to enjoy a relaxing holiday in full enjoyment of the magnificent countryside of Ragusa which completely surrounds the residence. The views are endless and encompass the fascinating view to the sea along the coastline of Ragusa to the Island of Malta in the distance.

From this tranquil setting, places of interest such as Ragusa, Ibla, Modica, Ispica all within 13 km are easily reachable for day trips, while the sea is at 7 km.

The property is set on two floors. On the ground floor are seven bedrooms, each with private bathroom, which operate as Bed & Breakfast and can be rented independently from the villa.  The entire property can also be rented in exclusive use.

From the moment you enter this amazing building you will have the sensation of stepping back in time. Entry is through a large atrium with walls and floor in ancient local stone, still intact and as beautiful as the day the villa was built in the 19th Century. In the centre of this area is a marvelous carob tree in the shade of which guests can relax in comfortable garden furniture and where al fresco meals can be enjoyed in summer months. The communal outdoor kitchen and barbecue can be accessed from this area and from this area you can also reach the spacious fenced lawn, the breakfast room and the communal laundry.

This patio courtyard area is adjacent to the large swimming pool (8m x 8m) complete with numerous sun umbrellas and loungers to enjoy sunny Sicilian  days in peace and relaxation. From the pool you can see in the distance the sparkling sea dominating this particularly beautiful stretch of coast.

Villa Alessandro (8 people) occupies the upper floor and has a totally private entry by way of an ancient staircase in polished stone. In the entry hall are two large built-in closets and from this area you access a bathroom with shower. To the right is the kitchen which still today boasts its antique wood fired oven, the original ceramics from Santo Stefano di Camastra, and the original well which is perfectly functional today and from which you can draw water just as the past inhabitants did. Even the ancient loft area where the local sausages and salami were cured has been preserved and is reached by a spiral staircase.

The entry leads into a spacious living room furnished with good taste and which keeps alive the noble atmosphere typical of the villa, with three large bookcases, dining table and chairs, large armchairs around the original fireplace which is ventilated to allow heating to reach the bedrooms. The living room also acts as a thoroughfare to reach the four bedrooms which can be made up as queen size or twin bedrooms. In three of the bedrooms it is possible to add an extra bed if required. The bedrooms on the left look out to the courtyard while those on the other side look towards the exterior part of the property.

The living room also leads to a large terrace which is furnished for outdoor living and dining.
