Lucca is renowned for its unique Renaissance era walls which enclose the entire city and upon which you can walk or ride a bicycle admiring the city along the way! Lucca is also famous for its olive oil and wine and for the Feast of the Luminaria which is held on 13 September, attracting former citizens and visitors from all over the world who gather to participate in the important festivities.
Here is a lovely apartment just a few steps from the Cathedral of Lucca and Piazza Grande. It is on the ground floor though does not have a garden. It has been renovated with much care and the bedrooms and living room open onto an internal garden, thus offers a peaceful stay despite being in the heart of the city. The restorations have maintained the ancient stucco ceilings and furnishings are particularly comfortable and well equipped. The ground floor accommodation is comprised a follows: Living-dining room with TV, sofas; kitchen with oven, stovetop, freezer, dishwasher, storeroom with washing machine, a queensize bedroom with ensuite bathroom with tub, a second queensize bedroom with bathroom with shower. Central heating. An extra bed in available in the living room at extra cost. There is parking in the streets or in public garages nearby (paid parking). On the third Saturday and Sunday of each month there is an interesting and well-known Antiques Market.
